Playing airsoft is legal in most countries, but some countries have restrictions. It is legal throughout the United States, but there a re restrictions in Camden, Newark, NJ, Chicago, IL, and Detroit, MI. Federal laws in America say there must be 6 mm of orange tip on the end of any toy gun. Airsoft guns is a term that was established by Japan in the early 1980's. Airsoft rifles are usually a replica of a real firearm. They are divided into three groups by what they are powered by: spring powered, electric powered machine guns, and gas-powered green gas or CO2. We currently don't carry the green gas required to use certain guns. Green gas is an environmentally safe propane gas with little amounts of perfume and silicon lubricant. This gas produces a realistic blow back action when fired. Airsoft rifles shoot 6 mm plastic pellets. 8 mm BBs are used on specialty guns. They come in all different weights from .12 to .88 grams. The most popular weights is .2 and .25 grams because its found to be the best for accuracy and range. Usually heavier BBs (.30-.48 grams) are used for long range weapons because they are less affected by the wind. This makes them more accurate. It is important to buy quality BBs because ones that are malformed, soiled, or if they have seams in them, that makes them much more inaccurate.
